Launched in 2001, the Golden Dragon Awards (GDA) have become the largest annual event organized by Tap chi Kinh te Viet Nam - VnEconomy - Vietnam Economic Times in cooperation with ministries, sectors, localities, and relevant agencies, to recognize foreign- invested enterprises (FIEs) in Vietnam. During its 24 years, the awards have accompanied the business community, strengthened links between localities and international partners, consolidated close cooperative relationships, and offered new opportunities.
The GDA were introduced to promote the role of the media and praise FIEs that operate effectively and post impressive achievements in production and business and actively contribute to the development of the locality where they operate and the national economy. The awards ceremony is also an opportunity for policymakers, managers, local leaders, economists, and CEOs of foreign and Vietnamese enterprises to meet.
The GDA 2026 are scheduled to be held on April 2026, in tandem with a series of media activities and events:
- The Vietnam Connect Forum 2026;
- Ceremony for the TOP 50 FIEs in GDA;
- Meetings on the sidelines of the Vietnam Connect Forum and the GDA;
- A report on a special topic praising the achievements of enterpreneurs and enterprises, appearing in Tap chi Kinh te Viet Nam - VnEconomy - Vietnam Economic Times;
- A livestream of the ceremony on VnEconomy.vn, VnEconomy FanPage, and YouTube;
- Widespread communications in local media.
